New Direction is part of the Big Lottery Improving Financial Confidence programme which funds 37 projects working with social tenants in the UK. The programme aims to try out different methods of engaging with social tenants, aiming to improve their access to services and support and make them more able to take control of their money.
New Direction is based in established and trusted local advice agencies that are accessed by many of the 60000 social tenants in Liverpool. Our 5 workers offer practical support to service users and other tenants who might not have saught advice before.
The IFC programme is a major investment in help with communities that are facing pressure due to benefit changes and a more insecure working environment.
