History RAISE was established more than 10 years ago for the purpose of advising Housing Association tenants in their homes. Initially we offered welfare benefits advice. Since 2005 we have also offered debt advice. Since 2008 we have also visited any Liverpool resident who is unable to get to an advice centre or solicitor Impact report For our latest Impact Report click here - Impact Report 2011. Quality RAISE has a Community Legal Services Quality Mark for Welfare Benefits and Debt Advice with Casework. ![]() Charity In 1999 RAISE became an independent not-for-profit company. In 2006 it registered as a charity. Benefits In 2010-11 we responded to over 5,500 requests for home visits, helping people to gain over £4.5 million in unclaimed or under-claimed benefits – including over £2m in disability benefits. Our debt advisers handled nearly £5.5 million of priority and non-priority debts, helped 704 people, 127 of whom avoided avoid threatened eviction from their homes and 47 avoided threatened disconnection from fuel supplies.
